In the wake of a scandal that challenges Unifor’s identity and threatens our reputation, I believe that a commitment to transparency, integrity, and ethical conduct must be our top priority if we are to repair our union and rebuild trust with our members and with the public.

As a journalist and as Media Council chair, these are core values for me, and they are crucial not only to member relations but also to organizing, servicing, and bargaining.

Lana Payne understands these values and is leading us through this difficult time by these values. She’s brave, she’s smart, and she’s strong enough to do what’s right for our union.

She leads by example, with loyalty to our members and commitment to service and solidarity. I believe that Lana’s leadership and vision are exactly what Unifor needs right now to become the best union we can be.
