I have known Lana Payne since my time in CEP, our predecessor union, and my respect for her has only grown over the years. Since the formation of Unifor, I have worked with Lana long enough to know there is no other candidate that is better-suited to be Unifor’s next National President.
As a local union president out of the Atlantic, it was incredibly helpful and inspiring to have Lana as Atlantic Regional Director for 6 years. With her at the helm, we always knew we had the strongest, most capable person advocating on our behalf - whether it was with employers, with governments, or with the Unifor National office in Toronto.
This is a crucial time for Unifor. It’s so important that we have strong, principled leadership to move us forward. Coming from small provinces, we know that we have to stick together and make sure our voice is loud and strong. Lana has strength of character, tenacity and principled judgment. Lana’s our person. Let’s get her elected president!
