I have been active in the union, as a past local President and NEB member for so many years. As I am retired this year, I am reflecting on all the things that make us a strong union. I lived through a pandemic while representing health care, LTC and retirement home workers. It was a nightmare.

Our union, with Lana’s leadership and vision, oriented the resources of the union to supporting members through the most difficult time.

She did it with a team, by prioritizing quality information that we needed, when we needed it. I urge Unifor members to see the essential role played by Lana Payne in our union, and to choose her as next National President.

I have come to know Lana Payne when Julie White was over at the Women’s Department and our friendship has grown over the years. I respect her professionalism, which is yet another reason why I support Lana Payne for Unifor National President.
